Dr. Mike Bridges will be joining our team on July 1, 2009. It is no coincidence that Dr. Mike's last name is the same as Dr. Stacy: they are married. Dr. Mike has worked for the last two years at the Stark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic, but has been a presence already at our hopsital: helping us with our wildlife rescue work, and being our "on-call" extra surgeon.
Adding a third doctor to our team will mean that we will have greater flexibility in our surgery and medicine schedules. We also will be expanding our hours a little to accomodate our increased caseload, opening at 8 am on surgery days.
So much is happening at Elm Ridge these days. Check the links for the latest events, news, and service projects.
ERAH is launching a year-long "Pet Poisoning Awareness Campaign." Help us reduce the number of unnecessary pet poisonings in Stark County ! See the "Stop Pet Poisoning" link : (under news) the hub for this project.
Also, coming up: The Elm Ridge Animal Hospital Family Fun Day at Cyrstal Lake Golf Course. It will be a blast ! See the link for further information.
BOOK DRIVE: We have added a new service project to our clinic activities. (See service projects links for all of them). We are donating new books to the Canal Fulon and Stark County public libraries to expand / update their pet care and animal sections. Clients are urged to participate by dropping off a new book at the clinic, or by donating one dollar (or more!) . Donations will be given to the Canal Fulton Library July 15; Stark-Perry librarb August 15, and Stark-Jackson Septembr 15. Each book donated will include a personalized bookplate with the name of the client's pet. (See "Book Drive" link for further information.)
