Appointment Policy

Appointments are preferred for the sake and sanity of all our clients, staff, and doctors. Life-threatening emergencies during our regular hours will be accomodated immediately, and we expect our scheduled clients to understand and appreciate that. However, since our goal is not to be a high volume practice, but to focus our time on our dedicated clients, we may not be able to accomodate non-emergency walk-ins that would disrupt our appointment schedule.  If we cannot see you at the time,  we will gladly set up a regular appointment for you for the next available time. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments.

We have flex time built in to our appointment schedule to compensate for any schedule over-runs, so we will try to keep to our appointment schedule as much as possible and not make our clients wait. Clients should plan to arrive for their appointments on time, and if possible a few minutes early. For new clients, pre-registering your pet with us via e-mail or fax will save you from having to fill out most of the paperwork at the time of your visit. (see the new client page)

Please remember, that if your pet has an emergency or illness when we are not available, you should contact Stark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic, 330-452-5116, or Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, or Akron Veterinary Referral (see emergencies page). Keep your pet insurance up to date in case you need to use one of these facilities-- you will thank us for nagging you if you do!

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard,  Discover, debit cards, checks, and of course cash. We encourage all our clients to provide pet insurance for each pet, and we can work with you to file the claim and receive re-imbursement.

Please remember that billing clients makes our services more expensive for all our clients-- including you ! We try to offer our client family as many options as possible to provide the best care possible for their furry ones, yet still keep our costs down- while making payment as painless as possible.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
