We STRONGLY urge all our ERAH family
members to arrange pet insurance, if possible, for each pet. Since
we will be relying on emergency services like Stark County
Veterinary Emergency and referral centers like Metropolitan
Veterinary Hospital or Akron Veterinary Referral to provide
services for our clients when we are not available or when your pet
requires a specialist, we want our clients to be prepared for these
services. Premium services like these are expensive for these
companies to provide, and expensive for clients to use. These
companies are not pricing their services any higher than other
similar services-- their prices reflect the higher overhead and
care demands clinics like these have, and, of course, the
seriousness of your pet's condition.
With pet insurance, you will not have to be as concerned about
that eventual rainy day-- you will have an umbrella.! Depending on
the insurance company and plan, you will save up to 80% of the cost
of these services ! 80 % !! That is an umbrella no pet owner should
be without !
Some of the pet insurance companies also offer "wellness" care--
meaning they will give you discounts on your annual exam, vaccines,
heartworm prevention, flea products, etc. These plans almost pay
for themselves with this benefit alone.
We keep an extensive up to date file on many pet insurance
companies and plans. We also will be working with a local pet
insurance company Pets Health, which we feel offers one of the best
programs available. We can go through the different plans with you
and sign you up online right in the office if you would like. We do
not receive any commission or financial incentives from any pet
insurance group-- we just want our clients to be prepared for that
eventual rainy day.
