Dr. Melanie Butera
 |
As an emergency clinician for nearly
20 years, there is not too much "Dr. Mel" has not seen. Having
treated over 70,000 emergencies, she brings a great depth of
experience in trauma and medicine to ERAH. She looks forward to developing more
personal relationships with clients than was possible on emergency, and
to concentrating on keeping your pets well-- not just treating their
injuries! Dr Butera, like all our doctors, is a graduate of the Ohio
State Univetsity College of Veterinary Meidicine. She is a Stark
County native and has lived in Canal Fulton for 10 years. She loves
living in this beautiful small town. |
|
Since "retiring", Dr. Butera has been doing relief work primarily
at Mogadore Veterinary Hospital, but has also been traveling the
country and been busy planning the future for ERAH. She has also
become an adjunct professor for Stark State College. At home, she
finds great joy in spending time with her husband Steve and their
many pets: 2 cats, a standard poodle, and a domestic deer
named Daffodil (our ERAH mascot). She is also an accomplished
Macintosh database developer and is the "techie" behind
ERAH.
