Wildlife: Our Commitment to the Community

Both Dr. Mike and Stacy Bridges and Dr. Butera strongly believe that it is our obligation as veterinarians to serve the community and "All Creatures Great and Small" by donating our time and services to help injured wildlife. We treat on average two to ten injured wild animals a WEEK.   We assist the EXCELLENT wildlife rehabbers at Stark Parks whenever they need us, and do all that we are legally allowed to do for any injured wildlife brought to us by clients.  If you would like to help our wildlife efforts, you may donate dollars to our wildlife fund, goods (like towels and blankets) that we will pass on to the rehabbers, or contact Stark Parks about volunteering for them. Another way to help is to make sure you vote for the Stark Parks levy whenever it comes on the ballot.

Remember, if you find an injured wild animal, do not put yourself at risk.  Contact us or Stark Parks about how to handle the animal before you do anything.  Sadly, there are some animals that the current state laws will now allow us to help.  We don't agree with these laws but are forced to follow them.  Below are some pictures of some of our wildlife patients.  You can see more of our wildlife rescues on our Facebook page.
